Ted’s next scheduled show will be in Seattle at the Fountainhead Gallery opening October 7, 2017.
He was previously represented by Silverwood Gallery on Vashon Island with annual shows of new works from 1998 through 2013.
Ted’s work is a contemporary amalgam inspired by the impressionists, the Nabis such as Pierre Bonnard and Edouard Vuillard, the wellspring American illustrator-painters Winslow Homer, Edward Hopper and NC Wyeth, and painters of the California School Richard Diebenkorn and Wayne Thiebault who push the interplay of color, realism and abstraction.
He is a trustee of Gage Academy of Art in Seattle and a finance committee member of 4Culture, King County’s Cultural Development Authority. He is also an estate planning and tax lawyer and a financial planner in Seattle.
He and his wife Susan live on Vashon Island, Washington, where they own a farmhouse built in 1897. Their daughter Ellen and son Will live and work in Seattle.
Ted received his secondary education at Phillips Exeter Academy (1974), a bachelors of arts in English from Dartmouth College (1978), a law degree from the University of Denver (1981).
