COPYRIGHTS OF IMAGES SHOWN ON THIS SITE ARE OWNED BY FREDERIC T. KUTSCHER. Islands and shore-related landscapes are frequent subjects of my paintings—my wife Susan and I have lived on Vashon Island since 1986 where we own a farmhouse originally built in 1897, and Susan’s family lives on Orcas Island. I am originally from the East Coast and New England, so I and enjoy getting to New Hampshire and Maine to paint in their quintessentially coastal settings.
